The Rotary Club of Ann Arbor is hosting a delegation
of 11 Russian casual dining professionals in Ann Arbor from October
4 - 20.
The delegation is part of the Productivity Enhancement Program (PEP)
administered by the San Francisco-based nonprofit Center for Citizen
Initiatives (CCI). PEP is a nationwide program that for over a decade
has brought thousands of Russian entrepreneurs and managers to the
United States for intensive industry-specific management training
programs and cultural exchange. This is the third Russian PEP delegation
to be hosted in the Ann Arbor area, and the 26th PEP delegation to
be hosted in Michigan, since 1998.
The two-week training program and home stays are generous contributions
of time and effort from Ann Arbor Rotary Club members and the
businesses and organizations. The training program aides Russia's
economy by providing small and medium-sized businesses with
the knowledge and tools to be successful, including strategy
and marketing as well as operations. |
